Live in Lod<\/i><\/b> is an Arts & Culture Organization which empowers local artists through providing a platform to create, collaborate, and perform together.<\/b><\/p>

Often referred to as \u201cthe microcosm of Israel\u201d, Lod is a mixed city which is facing <\/span>immense segregation, <\/b>only exacerbated by the current<\/span> regional crisis<\/b>. Additionally, its residents are experiencing<\/span> significant <\/span>social-economic barriers<\/b>. We understand that the only path forward for Israeli society is through providing for stability of all of its peoples, side by side.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Live in Lod<\/span><\/i> began as an initiative developed by two Yahel fellows during their time on the Social Change Fellowship of 2023. <\/span>Utilizing a grant of 10,000 shekels and a volunteer work force from Yahel, Live in Lod was born. <\/span>The first series of events, including the city\u2019s <\/span>first local arts festival<\/i><\/b>, were created in the aftermath of the riots of 2021. These events proved to <\/span>effectively bridge gaps within a segregated city, while also increasing the city\u2019s financial and cultural capital.<\/b><\/p>

Since, there has been a growing demand for <\/span>Live in Lod\u2019s<\/span><\/i> continued presence throughout the city!\u00a0 <\/span>Unfortunately, this year, <\/span>the war has left us at a deficit<\/b>, leaving us without funding and without a volunteer staff.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

We are asking you, as someone who believes in the transformative power of nonviolent resolution, to donate what you can to support our work on the ground!<\/p>

It is essential that our work not only relieves social and economic tensions, but is also <\/span>sustainable<\/span><\/i>. This is only possible through the <\/span>care and generosity<\/b> of people around the world. Your donation will provide the tools to <\/span>strengthen<\/b> local artists<\/b>\u2019 social and financial mobility, in an environment that often impedes it.<\/span><\/p>

The international response to violent conflict should be defined by those who are living closest to that conflict.<\/b> Live in Lod honors its constituents' vision of sustainability and prosperity, through <\/span>engaging in open dialogue through the arts <\/b>and bringing <\/span>growth towards their small businesses economy. <\/b>Right now, there has never been a more critical time to invest in creative solutions.<\/span><\/p>
