LIVE IN LOD: The Origin

In September 2023, Michael and Ethan arrived in Lod through the Yahel Social Change Fellowship. In the shadow of the violent unrest of May 2021, they found a city alive with art and culture—but socially fragmented. Artists and residents wanted connection; Live in Lod was born to foster that connection.

WHY NOT EXPAND?

What began as a small set of local collaborations has grown annually into multi-venue events with increasing reach—positioning Live in Lod to expand further, with sustained community support.

In the aftermath of October 7, Michael and Ethan recommitted to Lod—continuing arts education and public programming that strengthens civic belonging and the local economy. With sustained community support, Live in Lod is positioned to expand programming, partnerships, and long-term impact.
